How the GMAT Works

  • Scoring and Duration: Maximum score of 805, minimum of 205, and lasts up to 2 hours and 15 minutes. The exam consists of three sections that can be taken in any order.

    • Content: Problem-solving with arithmetic and elementary algebra concepts.
  2. Verbal Reasoning:

      • Critical reasoning questions to evaluate arguments and draw conclusions.
  3. Data Insights:
    • Focus: Interpreting data in various formats to make business decisions.
    • Content:
      • Multi-source reasoning: Answer questions based on multiple data sources.
      • Table analysis: Determine the truth of statements using sortable numeric tables.
      • Graphic interpretation: Use charts/graphs to complete statements.
      • Two-part analysis: Make decisions with multiple variables.
      • Data sufficiency: Determine the point at which there is enough data to solve a problem.
